The Bentley Portrait

The studio space is dedicated primarily to individual portraits and couples. To me these are the images that carry presence, that hold attention, that feel intimate without needing to shout.

Occasionally, I will welcome a third person into the shot, but not really beyond that. Fewer faces mean greater connection, more intention, and a portrait that can live gracefully on your wall rather than just simply existing in a single frame.

I create your portrait in a quiet, crafted space where nothing competes for attention.

The lighting is deliberate. Backgrounds are hand painted canvas.

Furniture is kept minimal: a carefully chosen stool, an occasional armchair, only ever introduced only when the portrait calls for it.

My work isn’t production line photography. Every decision made here exists for one reason. To protect the quality of the finished piece.

Many of my portraits are standing, elegant, upright, and poised. But comfort matters, and I adjust the environment to suit the person in front of me.

I favour a single key light, placed with intention.

It’s how the greatest of portraiture has been created for generations – sculptural light, depth, shadow, and tone working together to reveal something honest.

People of come to expect the Bentley Portraits leaning towards dark, atmospheric, and cinematic.

Colour is treated artistically rather than clinically matched to your wardrobe.

Black and white portraits are printed with richness and depth, often gently toned to create a sense of history and permanence.

This is portraiture with character. Not decoration. Not fashion. Presence crafted as artwork

The final piece is not delivered as files to be forgotten.

It is created as artwork to be lived with.

You may choose:

• Fine Art German Etching Prints – beautifully textured, with weight, soul, and tonal richness.

• Fine Art Canvas – carefully rendered to evoke the quiet dignity of a painted portrait.

Each piece is supplied ready for display.

German Etching prints are presented in a white mount, ready to frame.

Canvas works are discussed prior to final approval.

For those who prefer a complete finish, I offer solid wood framing, chosen with care to complement both the portrait and your home. Framing typically ranges from £150 to £700+, depending on scale and finish.

All options are designed to sit comfortably within your home interiors.
